Mini Spring Succulent Planters
Do you have handfuls of plastic Easter eggs all over the house? I hear ya, mama! Now let’s shout for joy, because I have a solution for you. Get into these mini spring succulent planters!
Supplies
Instructions
- Gather the preferred amount of plastic eggs – bottoms only.
- Separate the octagon tiles from the mesh backing.
- Using the leafing pen, color the top edge of the egg. This helps disguise the inset section of the egg.
- Using hot glue, fill in any holes at the bottom of the egg.
- Using hot glue, affix one egg bottom to the octagon tile.
- Repeat with the remaining eggs and octagon pieces.
- Remove mini succulents from original pot and transfer to each egg bottom. You may have to pack down the soil for a snug fit.
Now that your mini spring planters are filled, no one will ever know they started out as plastic Easter eggs. Win, win! You can display these on window sills, shelves, or even use them as place settings to spruce up the dinner table. These low maintenance succulents last a good while and rarely need to be watered.
Paper Flower Bouquet
Supplies
- Free Printable Vase
- Colored Cardstock
- Paper Straws
- Colored Tissue Paper
- Heart Paper Punch
- Glue
- Double-Sided Tape
- Scissors
Instructions
- Print out the vase template here. Decorate the vase to your liking. Use colored pencils, stickers, stamps, you name it!
- Fold in the flaps along the scored lines and also along the enter blue lines. Use double-sided tape or glue to adhere to a piece of colored cardstock
- For the flowers, cut out the hearts using the heart puncher. For each flower you will need 5 hearts. Fold each heart in half. Line them up in a circular shape and tape the back of the flower. Crumble up a small piece of tissue paper and glue to the center of the flower. Tape the flower to a paper straw. *note* you will need to cut the straw bottoms since they will be too long for the vase.
- Repeat for as many blooms as you would like in your vase. Picture below shows 5 per vase.
- Add flowers inside the vase and arrange as you like.
- Cut out skinny green leaves in your desired shape. Use tape or glue to adhere to the paper straws. (I recommend using tape since I had to move leaves around once they were in the vase)
- Use double-sided tape to secure blooms to cardstock so they do not move.
The cutest flower bouquet right?! This craft is sure to brighten up anyone’s day. To kick it up a notch, you can have each of your littles decorate a vase, and then place it into a shadowbox to display. This craft would also be the best Mother’s Day gift. The possibilities are endless!
