My bucket list is pretty long. Currently I am up to about 150 things and constantly editing it. Despite the ever changing list, visiting Paris France has always been my #1. In 2018, during my last semester in college, I promised myself that I would travel to Europe to celebrate my huge accomplishment. I shared this with Andrew, and assured him I would go without him if need be. LOL! Now ya’ll know hubby was NOT about to let me leave him (we were also only engaged during this vaca). So we booked round trip tickets for $574 and embarked on the trip of a lifetime! I am going to break down the highlights of our trip. However, even these photos will not exude the effortless beauty of the city of love. I highly recommend taking a trip to experience the city yourself. You can view our fabulous Paris photo shoot here!
Maintaining a budget while on vaca is key. I spent months researching lodging, transportation, and activities since I wanted to assure we would get the biggest bang for our buck. Traveling to Europe is expensive, but is doable if budgeted correctly.
Can you tell we were excited?
Before we even stepped foot on the plane I knew I wanted to grab some coffee and pastries as soon as we landed. We sure did just that! We decided on Ble Sucre and everything was divine. Hands down the best croissant and coffee I have had to date. As you can see, Andrew enjoyed this quaint spot as well.
After we enjoyed our pastries, we stumbled upon this gorgeous promenade. Low and behold Coulée verte René-Dumont is actually on a former railway line. The entire walkway was quite unique since you go through tunnels and trenches all lined with plants. Luckily, we asked a stranger to snap a photo of us together.
The park is open every day and is free to the public. Definitely add it to your “to-do” list if a Paris trip is on your mind.
This was hands down my favorite part of our trip. I literally felt like I was in a fairy tale. The candlelit evenings are breathtaking. The estate is a bit of a drive outside of Paris, but totally worth the trip!
Disneyland Paris lived up to the hype. I mean come on, who doesn’t love Disney?! When we were driving back from Germany, we decided to head to the park. Yes, friends we drove to Germany. More on that in another post!
Paris treated us extremely well. We laughed, dances, ate some fantastic food, drank more wine and coffee than we should have – but I wouldn’t change a thing. I am looking forward to returning to the City of Love to create more special memories.
