Over the weekend Andrew and I went to the newly opened RH Charlotte in Pillips Place. I have been counting down the days for this new RH design gallery to open, and I was so excited to score a lunch reservation for the rooftop restaurant inside.
My husband and I haven’t been on a date outside of the home in months due to coronavirus. Needless to say we were PUMPED! I’m embarrassed to say I almost cancelled our date a few hours before since Harper didn’t sleep well because of teething. Her schedule has been so out of whack (praying for all you mamas dealing with a teething babe)! Thankfully, my husband ignored my cancellation request and we hit the town for a couple hours.
When we reached the front entrance I was in awe. The RH store is massive. In fact, the three-story furniture store is 50,000 square feet! When visiting the store you must wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, then one will be provided for you.
The RH Rooftop Restaurant dining room is stunning! From the glam decor, to the plush seating, everything hits the mark. Large windows serve as the walls of this all-season dining room. To top it all off, not only are there numerous chandeliers hovering over the tabletops, but a large working fountain in the center of the dining room. Ya’ll, this restaurant is an entire mood, and you need it in your life ASAP!
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Since it was noon, hubby and I opted for lunch entrees. I chose the RH burger paired with a glass of Pinot Grigio, and my husband chose the lobster roll paired with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. We also decided to share a side of truffled fries.
The food was divine! I enjoyed every last bite of my burger and fries. Since my husband and I were both pleasantly full, we didn’t leave any room for dessert. Next visit we plan to enjoy their select dessert options.
On the first floor you will find the RH interiors collection. Here you can browse numerous staged rooms to see each piece in action.
To make your way to the second floor you can climb the central stairwell (or take take the elevator). This level showcases RH modern, which is the store’s modern furnishings collection. The interior design studio is also on this floor if you have the urge to hire an interior designer. Trust me, you will leave this gallery more inspired than ever.
Visiting RH Charlotte was an entire experience rather than a simple shopping trip. For that reason, I am a huge fan! I can’t wait to go back and ignite my interior design passion. If you make your way to RH Charlotte, tell them I sent ya! 🙂
Hours: Currently, RH Charlotte is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Hours will eventually expand.
