We recently had to travel to Boston to see family. Not only was this going to be Greyson’s first time on an airplane, but we needed to ensure our sweet toddler Harper would be entertained to ensure a pleasant flight. In preparation for the trip, I had both littles try numerous toys, activities, and games. I observed and took notes. Basically a mini focus group. This may seem a little over the top for some, but I am passionate about packing items that my kids will actually use and love.
After this tried and true research, I have rounded up a list of must-have items to pack when you need to travel with your kids. Let’s get into the list:
- Stretchy Strings
- Snap Click Fidgets
- Sticky Notes
- Stacking Cups
- Busy Board
- Flash Cards
- Teething Plush
- Bubble Fidget Toy
- Mini Buddha Board
Honorable Mention: Suction Cup Spinners
Now, let me tell you about these suction cup spinners. They are so fun! Currently, we have them stuck to our patio door. Note the word: stuck. Harper had a full blown meltdown since she could not remove the suction cup from the glass. Again, I am so happy to have done this research before hand since your girl was not trying to deal with a meltdown while in the window seat of an airplane. 🙂 Sticky notes saved the day as they are easily removable.
