Since I am now 16 weeks postpartum, I wanted to share my postpartum must-haves to get you through this mama journey! These essentials are tried and true, as this is my third baby, and I’ve tried all things. 🙂

Let me be clear, postpartum is hard! Not only are you expected to take care of your new baby, but you’re in the midst of healing, caring for your other children, and also trying to remain a great partner/spouse. Mamas can easily get overwhelmed. I was for sure! There are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. That is why I had to roundup my postpartum faves to help you navigate this postpartum season.
The key to postpartum life is to be comfortable while home. Everything on this list helps you do just that! Now, some of these items you may be able to snag from your hospital post delivery. Like the Vaseline or peri bottle. Does anyone else fill a bag of hospital goodies when they are discharged? Those mesh underwear are LIFE, and I def took a pile home!
These days, I am living in versatile loungewear sets. While home with Greyson, getting dressed each day has really helped improve my mood. It also get me motivated to tackle the day.
Now onto breastfeeding. As you know, I breastfed Harper for 15 months, and I’m rooting for Greyson and I to do the same. Currently, we have the best groove going and I couldn’t be more happier. Nobody likes dry or cracked nipples, so get some nipple cream, sis! I use the nipple cream prior to pumping, and I use the lanolin before going to bed at night. I’m also a huge fan of these nursing sleep bras and nursing pads. The reusable pads are itchy, and I like how I can throw these in the wash and always have some on hand.Â
As a nursing mama, I now understand the importance of staying hydrated. With Harper I wasn’t drinking enough water at first, and always felt dizzy after feedings. DRINK YOUR WATER!! Use this cute water bottle to track your water intake.Â
I hope my list of postpartum must have essentials helps you during this time. Just know this season is temporary, and it will get better. You will sleep again. You will see your feet again. You will love on your partner/spouse again. Please don’t forget to take care of yourself and ask for help. I’m rooting for you, mama!
