Every year I choose a theme for our Christmas tree, and ask hubby and the kids for style input. This year they all requested a red and white theme. Low and behold, that is exactly what they got! Thankfully, I already had lots of red and white ornaments on hand from past seasons. Seriously, if you do not shop the Christmas clearance sale at Michaels you’re missing out! I stock up on ornaments during that sale each year. In fact, I am already planning next year’s tree. I am thinking I want black/white or black/gray. We shall see.
Now let’s get into this years tree. Pops of red and white adorn our 7.5ft. tree. When using ball ornaments I always use a plethora of sized to add some dimension. The red/white polka dot ornaments are my favorite. For a little extra pizazz, I used some berry and pine cone picks leftover from last year’s tree. For ribbon, I opted for a caged silver mesh style. Normally, I would fill the tree with more ribbon to fill in empty space, but this year ya girl was tired. To tie it all together, a large red glitter bow serves as the tree topper. All in all, it took about 2 hours to complete the tree. Usually it takes about 4 hours so this was a win!
